Mens High Heels

If I cut the heels off a pair of high heel boots would I be able to wear them as flat boots?

I'm going to a fancy dress party as Superman but I'm having trouble finding a pair of red mens boots. All I've been able to find is women's high heel boots. So If I cut the heels off a pair of high heel boots would I be able to wear them as flat boots?

  1. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  2. no, you need some sort of heel. go to a thrift store and get something you like.
  3. no this will hurt your feet ,because of the arch made for a high heeled boot, just buy a can of spray paint....
  4. i dont think youll be able to do that. and even if you could, the heels would probably end up all uneven.
  5. Maybe. as long as they're straightly cut.
  6. NO! Get a pair of 'light' colored men's boots and 'dye them' red ... you would ruin your feet if you tried cutting the heel off the 'women's high heeled' boots and wearing those through the whole party. Or, if you can't afford the 'dye' just have someone make 'cloth boots' with a 'strap' that goes between the heel and the sole of your 'regular shoes' and wear those.
  7. You would walk like a duck. duh. because the boots are shaped for heels.
  8. You could but I would not.
  9. no, usually cutting your own clothes never works well. try a costume store.
  10. You would have a rough walk in them, I'm thinking, if there are nails holding the heel on. Do they make red duct tape? If so, why can't you wrap a pair of boots in red duct tape? Just a thought.
  11. You might be able to walk in them for a while, but, after a little while, your feet will start to hurt because of the metal stay in the arch support in the shoe. It is bent to accommodate the heels, not to allow for flat shoes. Just look at a pair of high heels. The toe part of the shoe is tilted. How would you get rid of the tilt? The shoe part of the heel, not the heels themselves, are tilted differently and would be quite difficult to bend. What I would suggest for you is to find a pair of flat boots that are very comfortable and then either get them dyed ot polish them a bright red to match up with the red clothes.
  12. I don't think it would work. They're designed to have heels on them. You could always just wear them as they are...lol ;)
