How do you dress at home after work?
Everybody I know including my husband, familly and friends dress a certain way in the office but once they get home, they change their clothes and wear "house clothes" not to say comfotable clothes bcs I think that even with the clothes we wear during the day we should be comfortable. But me, I never do that, when I come from the office and arrive at home, I just take out maybe the blaiser of my suit and my high heels but I keep all the rest until I go to sleep. I watch tv, cook and eat with the same clothes; I only change to go to sleep. And I would like to have more opinions, do you change as well when you get home or do you keep the same clothes until you go to sleep? maybe I just don't feel like changing my clothes for just a few hours... More infos: I can cook without geting myself dirty or messing my clothes. and some people might answer that they just want to put decontracted clothes, does it mens that you don't feel ok inside the that you wear during the day??? so, why do you wear it during the day if you don't feel comfortable in it for all day? bcs we pass more the day at work then at home. Me I just feel good inside any clothes, in jeans, suit or dress or t-shirt. Unless I have to change to wear an appropriate way to the place I need to go but not to stay at home. What I wear after my shower in the morning, that's what I keep until I have to go to sleep and just change for it. I don't like changing clothes many times a day just to stay at home, I'm not a model. by all the answers, I understood that the clothes we wear at work are uncomfortable if you want to wear confotable clothes when you're home. so questio nr 2. if it is uncomfortable the clothes you wear at work during the day, why do you wear it then? so, it means that most of the time of the day, you are uncomfortable bcs we pass more of the time out of our houses for those who work...

- I change in to more comfortable clothes. I'd rather not be uncomortable in my own home. Sometimes I strip into just....heh.
- in a smoking jacket of course, when i am sitting around the fire with my pipe and the hounds. toodles
- Why would you keep your nice blouse and slacks/skirt on while cooking and/or eating? They can get stained this way. I get home from work at 7 pm which is later than most people. I usually take a shower almost right after I get home from work and change into my PJs or lounge pants and a t-shirt if I know I have things (i.e. laundry).
- I wear the same thing as I do at work, unless I know I'm going to be hanging out at home watching a movie or something, then I always change into pajama pants or shorts and grab a good blanket to cover up with.
- 1st i like 2 dance like michael jackson wearing my tighty whities all round the house. (i'm a bachelor). then a bermuda & a t-shirt
- at home you have o wear that what's more comfertabale for you i preffer trainers
- It depends on how my day went! 9 times out of 10 I will wear the same outfit (and am in my dress shirt, skirt, and heels every day) until I go to bed...not any particular reason why...I like being dressed up... and HATE lots of laundry, lol. However, there are some days where I get home from work and immediately go upstairs and put on my pj's. But, I know I'll be home all evening. And, I am wearing pj's so I don't have any extra laundry! I understand you, don't think you are odd for it! :)
- I change as soon as I get home Most often into men's pyjama bottoms and a oversized sweatshirt
- Whatever I feel like, sometimes its a T-shirt and jeans and other times its PJ bottoms or Shorts and T-shirt.
- When I get home, I change into clothes that are soft and allow for more movement. I sometimes like to stretch out on my couch and if I'm wearing jeans, they constrict my movement. Plus, if I sit the wrong way, sometimes blue jeans cause discomfort for my genitals. So having loose pajama pants prevents that.
- I used to do what you do - I would just come home and not change at all - the shirt was going to need to be cleaned anyway, why dirty another for a few hours and have to figure out how many days to continue wearing it in the PM? Then I decided to change to jeans, because I was finding the work clothes too easy to dirty while cooking (I tend to wipe my hands off on my thighs when they have flour on them). But my husband likes to change out of his work clothes when he comes home and I tend to wander upstairs with him and change at the same time - so now I do change into house clothes when I get home, and I try to not have them be painting clothes or anything, just jeans, T-shirt and in the winter a hoodie.
- Normally I eat and cook in work clothes take my heels off. Then after get my child to bed change into t shirt to relax
- Good for you! My daughters are now adults. I only have the pets at home, don't need to cook if I don't want to, I put on my pajamas as quick as possible and love it. I try not to go anywhere during week days. I love my job and can dress casually but I really love wearing jammies. My life is wonderful! and comfortable!
- I change immediately when I get home, most days. In the warm months I change to shorts/t-shirt or tank top, in the cooler months, I change to soft pants or PJ bottoms and a t-shirt. I dress fairly nice at work and don't want to soil my work clothes or rumple them by lying around the house relaxing as I tend to do. My work clothes are for that...work (or non "around the house" occasions). I feel my nice clothes stay nicer for longer if they are exposed to less wear n' tear (so to speak). I don't care to lounge on the sofa or on my bed, watching TV, in my nice slack or skirt. Besides that, I workout (exercise) in the evenings so that would preclude me keeping on my work clothes anyway. When I'm done exercising I shower and put on something soft/stretchy and more relaxed. Do what works for you. I don't care to spend my evenings in my work clothes. The are comfortable enough while sitting at my desk all day, but I don't care to slouch around at home in them. The less I have to launder them, the longer lifespan they will have.
- I wear comfortable clothes
- For some people it helps them get into the mind set of home vs work. Even when I worked food service first thing I wanted to do when I got home is to take off that work shirt! Like removing metaphorical shackles. It's not that I don't like my job or for that matter my work clothes, it just helps me feel like I"m at home with my family. Maybe for you taking off the blazer and heels is enough to step you into the role of wife and out of the roles of work. And that's just fine.
- I guess a lot depends on what your work clothes are. I think it extends the life of the clothes to take off the good duds and hang them up. You have to clean them less often and they aren't at risk for soiling. Immediately change into my lounge wear (or nothing if it's warm). I have a friend who is shocked that I also take off my make-up early in the evening. I guess some people are just prepared and hopeful for unexpected guests. When I'm in, I'm in. Do not disturb.
- Yoga active wear. Anything that is very comfortable.
- Comfortable.
- i usualy go to the gym right from work so i'm wearing gym clothes. then i go home and shower and put on my sleeping clothes. on days when i don't go to work out, if i'm hanging out in my house, i will put on my pajamas because they are comfortable. because i wouldn't want to risk getting food on my work clothes, when cooking, eating, or cleaning up afterwards. my work clothes are comfortable for during the day, but i certainly wouldn't want to curl up on the couch wearing them.
- Now that it's winter, I wear PJ pants or sweat pants and a long-sleeve t-shirt. In the summer, I'll wear shorts and a tank top. I dress for comfort when at home. EMT
- I undress when I get home...... All day , all week, I wear a suit and a tie. Hell, when I can be bear ass naked, I do it when i'm home. unless when my kids are with me. The rest of the time, I can do what I want and let my balls out. Or I can wear just a T-shirt and nothing else. Nobody's here to telle me what to wear. You should see me here and now.!!!!!!
