crossdressers?

why do people think that crossdressers are gay?i am a crossdresser and i am not gay,why do you think that?would like to know why.

1. Because people think anything that causes you to take on the mannerisms or role of the other gender must mean you also want sex as the other gender. Also historically one of the ways to get away with "gay" behavior was to dress as the other sex and it just sort of stuck in the social subconscious.

3. I think that people make judgements about cross-dressers because they are ill informed and prefer to remain stupid. It is easier to put someone else down for something that you dont understand, than to find out the truth.
4. I too am a crossdresser and I'm not gay and I wish people would stop and relise that 95% od crossdressers are not gay.

In my experience, most people I have met do in fact think that crossdressers are gay, yet the simple fact is that they are most certainly not. I think it is probably the general and incorrect assumption that anyone who dresses must be gay: people assume that anything deviating however slightly from the norm just has to be gay. Not so!
