transgender question/school?

last week my school told me that how i dressed was a distraction but i am within dresscode i just wear guy clothing and pack and bind they told me that i can no longer dress that way, but im transgender so that is just how i dress so are they allowed to tell me i cant

2. if ur following the dress code then they have no right to do that. since it is authority then i guess u have to live with it. BUT i wouldnt. talk to them and ask if they have a prob with u like that. ps if a guy can dress like a dude why cant u? im sorry that happened and i feel they have no right and they dont, but since it is the school and they have authority i guess u either fight the power or deal with the fact that they can go around the rules when they want
3. I'm not transgendered, But I can say that is fuhked up. If you are not violating the dress code, then they should not have a problem with that. That is disrespectful. I'd write a letter to that school complaining. Good Luck.
4. there is no general, one size fits all answer to this question....it's usually a local issue. you are doing the right thing by asking the question, you're just in the wrong forum. if you are in a private school.....they can pretty well do whatever they want to do and you can deal with it in house or leave. in public schools they have a little less latitude but local school boards have a lot of power. you need to, with the voice and support of your parents if at all possible, ask this question in that forum. things like this have been successfully challenged in the past...but it can be a long drawn out, expensive and trying ordeal. if you're up to it.....you have my prayers and best wishes. much love and hope. pj
5. if it's a public school, they CANNOT DO THAT. bring them to court and sue their a$$es.... I would pitch a fit if i was told that.

7. Are your parents supportive? Do you have a gender therapist? Unless you answered YES to both you may not have any recourse. And as pj said if it is a private school you're screwed, they can do anything they want.
