is a person truly transgender mtf if they do not like female clothes?

- They could be. Being Male to Female is not about the clothing or makeup, if it was they would be crossdressers. It is about becoming comfortable with yourself and being seen the way you want to. If a person doesn't like wearing female clothes she could still be a woman.
- Clothes do not make the man...or the woman. Are you seriously going to question a straight high power fortune 500 female executive who wears pant suits to work and a track suit at home that she isn't female or straight because of her clothes. Then the same logic applies to transwomen.
- for me it is the sense of being fem not the clothes fashion make up and the rest of that but i will say all of those things can help at times
- Yes, they could be. Not every woman, including transwomen, is comfortable wearing dresses and skirts and make up all the time.
- I don't see why not. Usually I just wear a pair of jeans and a hoodie, neither of which are distinctly feminine. Personally, I wear women's clothing because I feel I am/should be female, as opposed to wearing them because they make me feel that way.
- Sure. It's not about the clothes at all, it's about the life. I have short hair (though I dye it all the time), don't wear makeup or earrings, and often wear men's shirts. I don't wear skirts or dresses as a rule, but women's pants and shorts are kind of required because my bum doesn't fit men's pants. People just assume I'm a lesbian, which is fine with me; I'm bi.
